Nasa uses satellite to uncover

For over 1000 years, much of the Mayan civilizations have been lost due to the rainforest’s camouflage. This is ironic because one of the main reasons the Maya fell was because of deforestation. On February 15, 2006, scientists Tom Server, and Dan Irwin teamed up with archeologist William Satturno at the Marshall Space and Flight station. The scholars used new infrared technology to virtually see through all of the undergrowth and trees, which were in the range of 60-100 feet tall. After many tests, the results were clear. The men had pinpointed locations in the rainforest that had distinct characteristics that the Maya may have left behind. The most solid evidence was the soil makeup. It was undeniably the Mayan’s signature. The three men were later rewarded for their find, and the world has finally gained more knowledge towards the history of one of the world’s most mysterious early empires in the world.
